Organic Chaga Mushroom Powder from Indigo Herbs is one of our most premium chaga product. All of the chaga conks that make up this powder have been grown on organic substrate, milled into a fine powder and thoroughly tested. This Organic Chaga Powder is made up of only the fruiting body part of the mushroom.
Suggested Use:
Organic Chaga Powder can be brewed into a tea. Heat in water over a low heat (160°F or 75°C) to extract the phyto-chemicals of this medicinal mushroom. Brew for up to an hour, (will turn a deep brown colour, then drink). The same Chaga can be re-used until the water extracted from the chunk is pale in colour. Serving: 1 – 2 teaspoons of Wild Crafted Chaga per cup is usually sufficient for one cup of Chaga tea. Remember that the Chaga can be reused.
Quality & Manufacture:
This organic chaga powder has been cultivated under strict environmental controls to ensure the best consumable mushroom powder. All wood substrate used is certified organic and the chaga conks are only harvested when completely mature. After being ground into a coarse powder, all batches are tested for heavy metals and other pollutants before being shipped.

TRADITIONAL HISTORY: The historical use of this fungus is thought to have originated in Siberia where the indigenous Shamans of the area gave it the title of ‘King of Mushrooms’. With evidence dating back to the 16th century and beyond, the people of Russia and parts of Eastern Europe have utilised Chaga. The Chaga fungi grows high up on the branches of birch trees where it develops a ‘conk’. This hard brown fungi is then harvested and dried to bring you this natural high quality ingredient.
