TRADITIONAL HERBAL EXTRACT: Quassia is the most bitter tasting known plant in the world. This bitterness comes from the phytobotanical, quassin. Quassia is native to the Caribbean and South America and counted as a shrub or small tree. It has beautiful large red blooms and distinctive glossy leaves.
SUGGESTED USE: This tincture can simply be added to water or any liquid of your choice. 2-3ml taken 2-3 times a day.
THE TINCTURE: Tinctures were first used in ancient Egypt before entering Europe from the 12th century onwards. Right up until the 1970?s tinctures were common until pills and capsules became more popular. They are now enjoying a resurgence in popularity because of their simplicity and relatively few ingredients. Tinctures are a liquid extract of plant leaves, roots, bark, fruit, seeds and flowers.
QUALITY & MANUFACTURE: Tinctures are an extraction made by cold percolation of plant material. This is an extremely efficient process which does not waste any of the precious herbal constituents. All our tinctures are housed in brown glass to ensure light longevity and a dropper for ease of use.
